Our menu changes seasonally
Here at Melrose Café, we love to create food that is wholesome, tasty and sometimes a bit naughty! Celebrating local producers and suppliers through our seasonal Á la Carte menu and homemade baking. We are more than happy to cater to various dietary requirements, the majority of our items can be altered to suit your needs. Our beautiful historic setting encourages a unique eating out experience. Please feel free to visit the house or wander the gardens and take in all Melrose has to offer.
Á La Carte Menu
Nutty homemade bircher muesli. Creamy Greek yoghurt, warm spiced poached pear and pistachio crumble.
Homemade fresh toasted loaf served as a creative new flavour weekly.

Local free range Brookfield eggs on toasted breads. Your choice – Poached, Fried or Scrambled.
Lemony pea mash on toasted harvest loaf with Proscuitto, baby tomatoes and sprinkles with feta.
Breakfast board – Mini homemade bircher, a poached egg – pea mash and onion jam on seed bread, vegan bliss ball and OJ.
Lightly toasted Bagel. Pestell’s bacon, tomato and swiss cheese. Topped with a fried egg and lashings of hollandaise sauce.
Melrose All day Breakfast. Pestell’s bacon, Doris farmers market bratwurst, homemade potato hash, thyme roasted tomatoes and free range eggs on toasted breads with onion jam.
Pan fried Halloumi salad. Warm Israeli couscous tossed with roasted beetroot, fresh spinach, roasted spiced chickpeas and a fruity dressing. Garnished with citrus zest.
Citrus cured salmon gravlax served with kumara hash cakes, buttered spinach, poached eggs, hollandaise and homemade almond dukkha.
Pan seared Ora Kind salmon fillet served on a Japanese soba noodle salad with garden fresh vegetables, fried shallots in a sweet and sour dressing. Topped with pickled ginger and spicy peanuts.
Melrose Vegan Nourish bowl. Trust the chef with colourful fresh seasonal vegetables, homemade relish and hummus on a superfood carb.
